Poems, that Tell about the Friend
If you are a man with bubbling enthusiasm you have the quality to be
a poet. It is almost seen in every literature that here is a section of
people who devote their time in writing poems after their hearts. Their
poems range from moon to elephant and they easily wander in the realm of
their dream without bothering over the matter whether the materials they
have produced are poems or mere ramblings of ideas.
 Galore of poems
are there in English literature. It is worthless to say that all the
poems are perfect expression of thoughts and ideas well knit in the
texture of words. Ranging from Chaucer to Ezra pound we notice the
gradual flow of ideas in the form of poems. Some poems are mere abstract
ideas , some are dedicated to nature and the majority go to the section
of love. Love is such a thing that imbibes within the readers a spirit
of 'mellow fruitfulness' and the poet easily steals the hearts of the
readers.
Again there are other poems too. You may notice in the vast canvass
of literature in all languages poems related to Fun, Friendship, Hatred,
Apathy, and Sentiment and so on. The kinds of poems are numerous as
there is no end to thoughts. Keeping these entire aside we are now going
to highlight on Friend Poems that are absolutely related to friendship,
nothing else. Amid the friendship poems we would gradually discern the
variety in the mode of friendship, sometimes bubbling with vigor,
sometimes benumbed with pain.
In all languages there are so many poems related to friendship. There
is deep love oozing from those poems. The poet in his/ her personal
style addresses his/ her friend and makes him/her know of his /her love.
Sometime the poem is composed in the conventional style sometimes there
is the poet's philosophy vivid through a conflict between time and love.
In this representation of the time love conflict the poet emphasizes the
mutability of the natural world as well as the human physique under the
impact of time.
The poet brings out the changes, wrought by time in course of his
delineation of its conflict with his/her love. if we dip delve into the
English literature we can find many poems, composed in the praise of the
poet's friend. We can easily take the example of a sonnet of Shakespeare
where he feels his friend's beauty more charming and lasting than a
summer's day. The beauty of the summer has decay and it is quite
transitory but the beauty of the poet's friend is everlasting.
Actually to the poet his friend's beauty has no decay. His friend
possesses the imperishable beauty that defies even death. The friend
shall live forever and thrive through the poems of the poet written in
his/her praise. The lines written in the praise of the friend express
the poet's high regard for his friend’s beauty. A note of sincerity
rings through them. The poet considers his friend more beautiful than
the lovely elements of nature. He substantiates his contention when he
mentions the decay and changes in the natural world.
